Steve & Jena Guined
Founding Pastor
Steve and Jena are the Senior Pastors of Connect Point. In October of 2011, Steve and Jena planted Connect Point. Steve and Jena’s vision is to bring the message of Jesus to all of Southern Illinois in a fresh and relevant way, by building a community that loves for people to live in Christ, planted in God’s house and lead change in our community and in the world. Steve and Jena are both natives of Southern Illinois. Pastor Steve has been serving in ministry as an Evangelist, Youth Pastor, Outreach Director, Associate Pastor and now Senior Pastor, all since the age of 19. He holds a degree in Theology from Christian Life College in Stockton California and a Psychology Degree from Mid-Continent University in Mayfield Kentucky. They share two children, Gabriella and Elijah.
Josue & Chelsey Lopez
Interim Pastor
We are Josue and Chelsey Lopez along with our four beautiful children, Noemi, Natanael, Azarias and Abigail. We are humbled and honored to partner with Connect Point to further the kingdom of heaven.
We have served in ministry for the past 17 years in various roles such as youth and kids ministry and also worship leading. Most recently, we served at Love and Truth Ministries in Carterville. Our passion is to see lives come to Christ and be transformed into his image.In our free time as a family, we like to watch movies, play games, and travel as much as we can. You will also find us at the soccer fields on weekends, watching our sons play.
